Dit nadat zij het verhaal van haar 12jarige dochter heeft gehoord over de pilletjes paracetamol die jongens op een feest in de drankjes van de meisjes zouden hebben gedaan (NRC 21\/5\/22). Is dit de zoveelste waarschuwing aan moeders met opgroeiende dochters of brengt Sarah Vermeulen een wensdenken naar voren, die getuigt van na\u00efviteit, namelijk een \u201cvrije en gelijkwaardige omgang tussen de seksen\u201d? Beide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-red-background-color has-text-color has-background\">Is vigilance for transgressive behavior necessary at a young age and if so, is that not the \u201cfailure of free and equal intercourse between the sexes\u201d Sarah Vermeulen wonders in despair. This after she heard the story of her 12-year-old daughter about the paracetamol pills that boys allegedly put in the girls&#8217; drinks at a party (NRC 21\/5\/22). Is this yet another warning to mothers with growing daughters or does Sarah Vermeulen put forward a wishful thinking that shows naivety, namely a \u201cfree and equal intercourse between the sexes\u201d? Both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-background-color has-text-color has-background\">Op internet leren kinderen alles over \u2018pranks\u2019, practical jokes, maar dan van een heftige soort. Een begrip daarin is bijv. de Amerikaanse tv serie Jackass. Paracetamol in het glas van meisjes doen is daarbij onschuldig. Sluimerende seksuele spanning in de omgang tussen de seksen \u2013 ongeacht leeftijd \u2013 zal altijd op de loer liggen en mogelijk tot een scheve machtsverhouding leiden. De \u2018metoo\u2019 beweging leert ons dat. Dat is al vanaf de tijd van Adam en Eva zo en zal voortduren zolang er mensen zijn. \u201cVrije en gelijkwaardige omgang tussen seksen\u201d is door die sluimerende spanning een illusie en getuigt van na\u00efviteit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-red-background-color has-text-color has-background\">On the internet, children learn all about &#8216;pranks&#8217;, practical jokes, but of a fierce kind. An example of this is the American TV series Jackass. Putting paracetamol in girls&#8217; glasses is harmless. Dormant sexual tension in the intercourse between the sexes \u2013 regardless of age \u2013 will always lurk and potentially lead to a power imbalance. The &#8216;metoo&#8217; movement teaches us that.
