Het lijkt op de ontwikkeling van de technologie en de dreiging die er uit ging van de film The Terminator, the Rise of the Machines. Al in 1984.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-55f84b16b411dc93097fb86d9c6f11db wp-block-paragraph\">Wat opvalt is, dat de generatieve large language model (llm), zoals chatGPT zelfs een effectief cyberwapen lijkt te zijn in de aanval van criminelen (waaronder je onderhand ook staten daaronder kan scharen) op de cyberverdediging van bedrijven en overheden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-5510cd8ba0c29f12784eb1aa0d6405be wp-block-paragraph\">Kennelijk is het wel nog steeds onze eigen menselijke schuld, dat indringers in de gesloten digitale omgeving van overheid en bedrijven kunnen komen. En dat het aan het laks omgaan met de &#8220;digitale basishygi\u00ebne&#8221; te wijten is, dat de sloten opengaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-3306e39202a880937ba63a0057053c9f wp-block-paragraph\">Naar mijn mening is de mens de zwakste beveiligingsschakel daarin. Kwaadwillende gedragswetenschappers verdienen een dikbelegde boterham aan het vak social engineering, het verleiden van mensen vrijwillig hun privacygegevens af te staan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-edfa740c21abf781fdc18b560cb4f034 wp-block-paragraph\">Uit het rapport.<br>&#8220;Basisprincipes verhogen digitale weerbaarheid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-e1008a46eb44e05d10a03db868089e5c wp-block-paragraph\">De conclusie dat dreigingen onvoorspelbaarder en complexer worden, betekent niet per definitie dat het verdedigen daartegen dat ook wordt.<br>Veel digitale incidenten vinden namelijk hun oorzaak in het niet op orde hebben van \u2018digitale basishygi\u00ebne\u2019. Voor een gemiddelde organisatie geldt dan ook: fixeer niet op het complexe dreigingslandschap, maar maak jezelf weerbaar met de basisprincipes, zoals opgesteld door het NCSC en DTC. Een belangrijk onderdeel van die basisprincipes is het voorberei\u00adden op incidenten, waarbij het gaat om de veerkracht en het herstelvermogen wanneer een incident zich heeft voorgedaan.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-red-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-fcb28c951bca430a38b302f506a2f2fb wp-block-paragraph\">What on earth have we gotten ourselves into?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-red-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-013eb587b3b21a02366897fe2343959a wp-block-paragraph\">The National Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Security&#8217;s latest report, Cybersecurity Assessment 2025, is not good for your nerves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-red-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-c5f534995a39487ca9925426d632ee58 wp-block-paragraph\">The abundance of cyber threats in the report up to August 2025 seems ominous. It resembles the development of technology and the threat posed by the film The Terminator, the Rise of the Machines, as early as 1984.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-red-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-97255358de59e0b190da03124deeea0d wp-block-paragraph\">What&#8217;s striking is that the generative large language model (LLM), such as chatGPT, even appears to be an effective cyber weapon in the attack by criminals (which now includes states) on the cyber defenses of companies and governments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-red-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-8b923e6557242cbdbe4643d3af0a8970 wp-block-paragraph\">Apparently, it&#8217;s still our own human fault that intruders can infiltrate the closed digital environment of government and companies. And that it&#8217;s due to a lax approach to &#8220;basic digital hygiene&#8221; that the locks are opening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-red-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-1d67b5986deacd39fb50a5bb9b34673f wp-block-paragraph\">In my opinion, humans are the weakest security link. Malicious behavioral scientists make a killing off social engineering, luring people into voluntarily handing over their privacy data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-red-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-a5a1bc397d8b2bc03f4af738bc90f1b5 wp-block-paragraph\">From the report: <br>&#8220;Basic principles increase digital resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-red-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-5b8a73e87400789ebfc148c8ad582c5e wp-block-paragraph\">The conclusion that threats are becoming more unpredictable and complex does not necessarily mean that defending against them will become so as well.&#8221;<br>Many digital incidents are caused by a lack of basic digital hygiene. For an average organization, the following applies: don&#8217;t fixate on the complex threat landscape, but build resilience based on the basic principles outlined by the NCSC and DTC.
