Ik kan mij niet aan de indruk onttrekken, dat Roberto Saviano door de moord op de onderzoeksjournalist Peter R de Vries een rood waas voor zijn ogen heeft gekregen\u00a0(zie artikel \u201cNederland is een van de misdadigste landen ter wereld\u201d NRC 30\/7\/21), waarna hij opnieuw het vuil over Nederland en de Nederlanders uitstort <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I cannot help feeling that Roberto Saviano has had a red haze before his eyes due to the murder of investigative journalist Peter R de Vries (see article “The Netherlands is one of the most criminal countries in the world” NRC 30\/7\/21 ), after which he again pours the dirt over the Netherlands and the Dutch<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nederland is naar mijn mening een land, waarin het sterke koppel van de koopman en de dominee de economie bestiert. Beiden zorgen ervoor dat de Nederlanders een goed belegde boterham verdienen. Daartoe werkt de koopman aan een uitstekend netwerk van internationale betrekkingen en legt de dominee dit netjes vast in verdragen, ook op fiscaal gebied. Maar de Nederlandse open economie trekt ook \u2013 steeds meer \u2013 gasten aan die zich een slechte koopman tonen en de dominee ten grave dragen. Deze gasten zijn al van oudsher op zoek naar landen, waar het toezicht zwak is of dit toezicht op basis van vertrouwen juist bij de burger zelf ligt. Maar ook naar landen, waar zakelijke betrekkingen niet door de \u2018omerta\u2019 worden beheerst, maar door wetgeving gericht op eerlijk zakendoen.\u00a0 Globalisering \u2013 men kan er alles van vinden \u2013 heeft daartoe in sterke mate bijgedragen. Een open en nette economie als die van Nederland zal meer dan andere economie\u00ebn dit soort lieden aantrekken. Maar het bewustzijn groeit \u2013 anders dan Saviano suggereert \u2013 om daar een tegenwicht tegen te bieden. Een greep uit enkele publicaties:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my opinion, the Netherlands is a country in which the strong couple of the merchant and the pastor run the economy. Both ensure that the Dutch earn a well-stocked sandwich. To this end, the merchant works on an excellent network of international relations and the pastor records this neatly in treaties, also in the field of tax. But the Dutch open economy also attracts \u2013 increasingly \u2013 guests who show themselves to be a bad merchant and who carry the pastor to their graves. These guys have traditionally been looking for countries where supervision is weak or where this supervision based on trust lies with the citizens themselves. But also to countries where business relations are not governed by the ‘omerta’, but by legislation aimed at fair business. Globalization \u2013 one can find everything about it \u2013 has contributed greatly to this. An open and clean economy like that of the Netherlands will attract these kinds of people more than other economies. Het beschuldigen van de Nederlander in het algemeen van de misdadigheid van haar inwonende criminele lieden is net zo waanzinnig als KLM van moord beschuldigen, omdat het een moordenaar heeft vervoerd.
De wereld verhardt door de handel in drugs. Niet in het minst door de georganiseerde misdaad. Dat het met die handel verdiende zwarte geld een weg zoekt naar de witte bovenwereld is \u2013 hoe bizar ook – eigenlijk een logische zoektocht naar een eigen economisch systeem. Onwenselijk, omdat het economische principe geldt, dat \u2018bad money always drives out good money\u2019. Daar moet een nette economie tegenwicht aan bieden. Dat een goed systeem dan maar moet wijken voor de strijd tegen criminele organisaties \u2013 die suggestie lijkt in het verhaal van Saviano te schuilen \u2013 is het kind met het badwater weggooien. De overheid gaat de strijd aan \u2013 anders dan Saviano suggereert \u2013 zonder de methode van dood en verderf van de georganiseerde misdaad over te nemen <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accusing the Dutchman in general of the crime of its resident criminals is just as insane as accusing KLM of murder because it has transported a murderer.
The world is hardened by the drug trade. Not least because of organized crime. The fact that the black money earned with that trade is looking for a way to the white upper world is \u2013 however bizarre \u2013 actually a logical search for its own economic system. This is undesirable, because the economic principle applies that ‘bad money always drives out good money’. A clean economy must counterbalance this. That a good system has to give way to the fight against criminal organizations \u2013 that suggestion seems to be hidden in Saviano’s story \u2013 is throwing the baby out with the bathwater. The government is going to fight \u2013 contrary to what Saviano suggests \u2013 without adopting organized crime’s method of death and destruction<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Het is jammer dat de media zich kritiekloos lenen voor dit soort overheidsmarketing. Zij zouden kritischer moeten zijn op de praktische uitvoerbaarheid en op de surveillance maatschappij die door de regelgevers wordt gecre\u00eberd.

Het\u00a0verhaal van Saviano<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>in het NRC van juristenhater Folkert Jensma past prima in het marketingconcept dat ik hierboven beschreef. Gelukkig laat niet iedereen dit soort onzin lijdzaam over zich heengaan. Ricky Turpijn schreef in het NRC\u00a0een reactie<\/span><\/a>, wat op instemming van witwasbestrijdster Anita van Dis kon rekenen, zie\u00a0haar LinkedIn bericht<\/a>.<\/span> Framing kan ook te ver doorschieten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a shame that the media lends itself uncritically to this kind of government marketing. They should be more critical of the practicality and of the surveillance society created by the regulators.

Saviano’s story in the NRC by lawyer hater Folkert Jensma fits in perfectly with the marketing concept I described above. Fortunately, not everyone is willing to let this kind of nonsense pass. Ricky Turpijn wrote a reaction in the NRC, which could count on the approval of money laundering fighter Anita van Dis, see her LinkedIn message. Framing can also go too far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eind juli stond een aanklacht tegen Nederland in het NRC afkomstig van de italiaan Roberto Saviano, schrijver van Gomorra. Hij noemt Nederland een belastingparadijs en knoopt daaraan vast dat wij daardoor de productie en handel in verdovende middelen wind in de zeilen geven en daarmee de moord op Peter R. de Vries op ons geweten hebben. Nederland gezien als een gesloten cirkel, zonder enige invloeden van globalisering. Gelukkig is het niet zo zwart-wit. Er zijn heel wat belastingparadijzen die geen narco staat zijn en narco staten die geen belastingparadijs zijn. Goed deze tegenhanger van Rickey Turpijn. Mooi geschreven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of July there was a complaint against the Netherlands in the NRC from the Italian Roberto Saviano, author of Gomorrah.
