Dit naar aanleiding van de slechte uitslag in het PISA 2025 rapport (NRC 9\/9\/26). Maar wat is haar eigen rol geweest om deze dalende trend tegen te gaan? Zij was al gewaarschuwd op grond van het vorige rapport uit 2022. Volgens Henk Hagoort (voorzitter van de VO raad) is het geen uitslag om je zorgen over te maken. Immers, de zaadjes om te komen tot betere resultaten zijn eerder geplant en moeten nu de tijd krijgen om te ontkiemen in de komende jaren. https:\/\/share.google\/3rw47MBqn9cAwAkRM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-2 wp-block-paragraph\">Hoe hij dat gaande het proces meet en zonodig bijstuurt, zegt hij niet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-3 wp-block-paragraph\">Nou is de grootste kritiek van docenten, dat hun tijd gesmoord wordt in administratief werk, zoals het bijhouden van allerlei leerresultaten voor de statistiek van het ministerie. Maar kennelijk is uit de statistiek niet opgepopt, dat de leesvaardigheid geschoeid op de PISA normen in drie jaar tijd w\u00e9\u00e9r is gedaald. Waarom registreer je dan? Maar was er op dat punt wel iets om bij te houden? Wordt de leesvaardigheid wel getoetst? Zo niet, dan is er niet iets mis met het leervermogen van de vijftienjarige, maar van het leervermogen van de minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-red-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-4 wp-block-paragraph\">The minister demands an improvement in the reading proficiency of fifteen-year-olds, following the poor results in the PISA 2025 report (NRC 9\/9\/26). Yet, what role has she herself played in countering this downward trend? She had already been warned based on the previous report from 2022. According to Henk Hagoort (chair of the Secondary Education Council), these results are no cause for alarm. After all, the seeds for better outcomes were sown earlier and now need time to germinate over the coming years. https:\/\/share.google\/3rw47MBqn9cAwAkRM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-red-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-5 wp-block-paragraph\">He does not say how he intends to measure progress during this process or make adjustments where necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-red-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-6 wp-block-paragraph\">Teachers\u2019 primary criticism is that their time is consumed by administrative tasks, such as tracking various learning outcomes for the ministry\u2019s statistics. Yet, apparently, the statistics failed to reveal that reading proficiency\u2014measured against PISA standards\u2014has dropped again over the past three years. What, then, is the point of recording this data? But was there actually anything to track in the first place? Is reading proficiency even being tested?
