nholland University of Applied Sciences internship and job market: Tax and Customs Administration now suitable for everyone?
Het is interessant om te weten, hoe in de stage en banenmarkt hogeschool Inholland de Belastingdienst overkomt gegeven de huidige slechte pers bij de bezoekers. Maar nog belangrijker is, dat dit bij uitstek de momenten zijn om het jonge publiek met de jeukwoorden ‘het eerlijke verhaal’ te vertellen. Dat de Belastingdienst een kennisorganisatie is met een hoogwaardige dienstverlening aan de burgers van Nederland. Dat het wel mensenwerk is en daarom ook fouten worden gemaakt. Maar dat het juiste willen doen een instelling is van de Belastingdienstmedewerker. Dat je in discussies sterk in je schoenen moet staan, maar met open vizier en vanuit het vertrouwen aan je gesprekspartner het fiscale gesprek aangaat. Dat je natuurlijk een goede beloning in geld tegemoet kan zien en dat er doorgroei mogelijk is binnen een grote organisatie met diverse taken. Maar meer nog een beloning kan verwachten in de voldoening, dat je werkt aan de publieke voorzieningen van Nederland. En dat dit werk niet iedereen is gegeven. Iets waar je trots op kan zijn. Ik hoop, dat dat beeld bij de bezoekers is achtergebleven.
It is interesting to know how the Inholland University of Applied Sciences perceives the Tax and Customs Administration in the internship and job market, given the current bad press among visitors. But more importantly, these are the ideal moments to tell the young audience ’the honest story’ with the itching words. That the Tax and Customs Administration is a knowledge organization with high-quality services to the citizens of the Netherlands. That it is human work and therefore mistakes are made. But that wanting to do the right thing is an attitude of the Tax and Customs Administration employee. That you have to be strong in discussions, but enter into the tax discussion with an open mind and with confidence in your interlocutor. That you can of course look forward to a good reward in money and that career growth is possible within a large organization with various tasks. But you can expect even more reward in the satisfaction that you work on the public facilities of the Netherlands. And that this work is not given to everyone. Something you can be proud of. I hope that image has stayed with the visitors.
