In Portugal is steeds meer mogelijk en kennelijk speelt de discussie 2G daar niet. Bij een 98% vaccinatiegraad is 2G dus niet in beeld.
Waarom klimt de vaccinatiegraad in Nederland dan zo moeizaam verder omhoog? De verklaring is eenvoudig: Nederland is er nog niet aan toe.
De Portugese bevolking heeft eerst een dodental van 300 per dag (op 10 mln inwoners) moeten betreuren om de knop om te zetten. Daarbij zat de zorg volledig op slot. De schrik zat er goed in en de daarop volgende âlockdownâ heeft de bevolking van Portugal rijp gemaakt om zich massaal te laten vaccineren. Het vergelijkende cijfer in Nederland is 55 dagelijkse coronadoden (op 17 mln inwoners).Â

De zorg dreigt op slot te gaan (code zwart), maar dat is nog niet het geval. Dat betekent, dat de bevolking in Nederland nog even moet gaan om hetzelfde te voelen als in Portugal. Maar we zijn goed op weg gezien de sprint naar de 20.000 besmettingen per dag
