Daarvan heeft 24% een niet-westerse migratieachtergrond. Aannemelijk is, dat een flink deel daarvan een moslim achtergrond heeft. De versoepeling van het kledingvoorschrift lijkt een win-win situatie op te leveren. Het zorgt voor acceptatie van de Boa onder de moslimgemeenschap én emancipatie van de moslima én vermindering van Boa vacatures. Door de versoepeling zullen ook keppeltje, tulband, kruisteken zichtbaar het straatbeeld bepalen.
Deze versoepeling wordt ook hartelijk welkom geheten door de Pastafari. Zij zijn leden van de Kerk van het Vliegend Spaghettimonster. Zij zien in de versoepeling een erkenning van het dragen van hun ‘religieuze’ hoofdbedekking in publieke functies: het vergiet.

Ja, zo eentje om de sla mee te wassen. Zij zullen een gelijke behandeling eisen bij een sollicitatie naar een Boa functie. Deze ‘kerk’ heeft eerder een juridische procedure aangespannen over gebruik van een pasfoto-met-vergiet-op-het-hoofd voor een rijbewijs. Tevergeefs. Geen religie, maar satire zegt de Raad van State.

Ludiek protest tegen het vertoon van religieuze uitingen in het publieke domein, maar met een grimmige ondertoon. Laat de gemeente ook naar dat protest luisteren, voordat het uit de hand loopt. Anders kan de “kerk’ zomaar een grote aanwas van nieuwe Pastafari gelovigen tegemoet zien.

Of these, 24% have a non-Western migration background. It is likely that a large part of them have a Muslim background. The relaxation of the dress code seems to result in a win-win situation. It ensures acceptance of the Boa among the Muslim community and emancipation of the Muslim woman and a reduction in Boa vacancies. The relaxation will also make the yarmulke, turban and cross sign visible in the street scene.
This relaxation is also warmly welcomed by the Pastafarians. They are members of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. They see the relaxation as recognition of the wearing of their ‘religious’ head covering in public functions: the colander.
Yes, one to wash the lettuce with. They will demand equal treatment when applying for a Boa position. This ‘church’ has previously initiated legal proceedings over the use of a passport photo with a colander on the head for a driver’s license. In vain. Not a religion, but satire, says the Council of State.
Playful protest against the display of religious expressions in the public domain, but with a grim undertone. Let the municipality also listen to that protest, before it gets out of hand. Otherwise, the ‘church’ could easily expect a large influx of new Pastafarian believers.
